On Home Ground
by Eoin O'Connor

Local artist Eoin O'Connor will present On Home Ground, an exhibition of original paintings inspired by Tomnafinnoge Woods and the surrounding Wicklow landscape, at The Courthouse Arts Centre, Tinahely on Sunday 8 November. The collection captures the woodland, fields and rural buildings of south Wicklow. The exhibition is open to all, and the artist will be there to meet visitors.

“There's a particular kind of beauty in the place you have called home. On Home Ground is Eoin's tribute to this corner of Wicklow, painted from the woods, fields and lanes he knows best.

Tomnafinnoge Woods sits at the heart of the collection. Its old oaks, soft light and quiet paths run through the work, and the paintings follow them out into the Wicklow countryside: stone walls, hedgerows and the cottages that dot the landscape.

Whether you're a longtime admirer or seeing Eoin's work for the first time, On Home Ground is an invitation to slow down and see the landscape the way he does.” Eoin O’Connor, October 2026
