'Where the Tree Dogs Fly', An Exhibition by Artist, Aileen Crossley

An Exhibition of Lithographs from Aileen Crossley’s IBBY Honor listed and IDI award-winning Children’s picturebook.

Aileen Crossley is an award winning author/illustrator and animator from Dublin whose practice is rooted in analogue and handmade practices and her love of nature, which she expresses through lithography printmaking and stop motion animation.

Her stop motion sand animation ‘Wishing Well’ for Paul Hourican, won her two Irish Design Awards in 2018.

In 2025 Aileen’s second authored and illustrated picturebook “Where the Tree Dogs Fly” was published in Irish as “An Áit a nÉitlíonn na Madaí Crainn”. It has been selected (just one of three books in Ireland) for the IBBY IRELAND HONOUR LIST 2026 for Illustration.

Aileen now lives in the countryside in County Wicklow where she is renovating an old house and its large shed into a lithography and animation studio.
